GIS- the most important interior architecture forum in Eastern Europe is organized in Bucharest on 22-23 March 2016, with the participation of architects from 15 countries and of the European Council of Interior Architects, at Radisson Blu Hotel.

GIS brings up for debate the role of architecture and interior design in improving the quality of life and the way in which this can influence social and cultural environments and also learning and working environments.

VisualARQ presents a Rhino project: Kunsthaus in Graz, Austria

VisualARQ presents an extravagant building for contemporary art, the Kunsthaus museum that seems to float above Graz (Austria).  In this Rhino project, Crab Studio has developed an innovative architectural design and a creative use of materials. The biomorphic building is covered by almost 1.300 blue translucent Plexiglas panels. The main façade contains a BIX installation, by Realities United, that allows to project videos and messages, acting as another exhibit space.

This remarkable building is physically linked to the one the most important old buildings of the city with a “needle”, a bridge and viewpoint, which connects traditional and contemporary architecture.

VisualARQ analyzes a Rhino design: Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum

VisualARQ visits an architectural project designed with Rhino by Trahan Architects for the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum.

Pleated metal panels, evoking the shutters of the plantation houses of Louisiana, cover the outer skin of the building. This austere appearance does not even suggest the interior architecture. We enter into a succession of dynamic and sculptural curves, forming a winding path through the interior of the facilities. The inspiration is the river, which bends and excavates the ground before emptying into the nearby CaneRiverLake.

The result of this architectural work was awarded with the prize of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) to the "Technology in Architectural Practice" BIM.

In this section, we usually present projects performed with Rhino by reputed architectural studies. But in the past of every great architect there is a young student who enrolls his name on the long list of his predecessors and show, for the first time, his vision. They don’t have a team in whom to delegate calculations and designs, makes a solo work and, from this page, we want to present his way of looking.

Today we contemplate the project created with VisualARQ by Petr Tuma, from the Czech Republic. We'll see how the architecture, more than ever, is linked to urban planning since it develops a plan that gives new life to a city choke smothered  by mining operations.

There is a project to expand the coal mines territory, which would mean the destruction of several towns, among them is Horní Jiřetín.

How to build a bright building in a small plot with Rhino

VisualARQ enjoys the building duality: a luxury condominium for residents and an interesting architecture for New York pedestrians

The slender architectural design in steel and glass of the HL23 condominium in New York, a project by Neil Denari, has been chosen by VisualARQ as an example of the use of Rhino software.

The building shape has been adapted to the High Line. At its base, the surface area is smaller than at the top. As the building gets higher, it expands and thus manages to provide more surface area. The top is about 40% larger than the base.

The effect achieved is aerodynamic, lightweight. The building shrinks at the bottom to accommodate the High Line. Despite this, it does not give the impression of receding or setting back: it nicely adapts to the tracks with a cantilever.

It also has a sculptural appearance, given by the design of the facades. Two of them are covered with low-iron glass and another one is covered with stamped stainless steel.
